LandFund Partners Under Contract to Sell Farmland for Solar Farm

24 July, 2025

A view of a farmland investment.

LandFund Partners is under contract to sell 100 acres of our Arkansas farmland to Silicon Ranch, a solar developer, for a planned 4.75 MW energy facility. The land, which is a part of our Soil Enrichment Fund, is expected to become a functional solar farm in 2026.

LandFund estimates that around 20% of its roughly 50,000-acre Mid-South investment portfolio may be viable for similar energy projects. President Chris Morris sees solar as a complementary investment opportunity, not a shift in focus, describing it as “just the cherry" on top of the fund’s strong agricultural foundation.
